Day 1 Arrival to Panama

(dinner) Our driver and guide will wait for you outside the terminal and will take you to your hotel in Panama city.

Day 2 – Tour to the Embera

(Breakfast, lunch, dinner) Very early in the morning you’ll be picked up to the Chagres National Park to visit the Emberá Community, the most important aboriginal community in the area. Our transportation takes us to the port of El Corotu on the shores of Lake Alajuela. Here, the indigenous Embera will be waiting for us to transport us in their narrowed canoes called piragua; a typical boat of the early inhabitants of the Panamanian jungle. On the way enjoy sightings of local birds, abundant vegetation, and a spectacular waterfall only reachable after a short walk across the jungle. After having a refreshing swim, continue to the Embera indigenous community. Upon arrival, they will welcome you in their traditional way and share their dances, music, crafts and history. Then, they will serve a delicious lunch of fish and fried plantains. Here you will have the opportunity to buy crafts directly from the local artists and rest before returning to Panama City. Return to the hotel.

Day 3 – Canal transit tour

(Breakfast, lunch, dinner) The tour starts when passengers aboard the 3 boats, mainly island dwelling, which will take you to the canal on the south end out of Caswey (Pacific Ocean) entering the first lock of Miraflores the ship rises to 18 meters, reach the lake Miraflores where is the second airlock Pedro Miguel where the ship goes 9mts, then the island abode ship 13.7 kilometers of road traveled to reach the snake cut (well known for its curves resemble a snake). This is one of the main attractions for visitors because it was carved through the continental divide and this section of the channel is full of history and value the same way you will be able to appreciate the continuous maintenance that this area requires, because it is very susceptible to landslides. In this area you can also see the work in progress for the expansion project of the Panama Canal.

Day 4 – City tour

(Breakfast, lunch, dinner) The tour begins by a visit to Panama la Vieja, a walk through what was the First Spanish City founded on the Pacific, and a visit to its museum. Then, continues along the modern sector of the city: banking district, Punta Paitilla, and Balboa Avenue to the historic center. World Heritage tour of the Independence Square, Metropolitan Cathedral, French Sqare, The Vaults, and Bolivar Square. Optional lunch at a local restaurant. Then, the tour continues by visiting the Albrook ex-military base, now a beautiful residential and commercial area. Visit the neighborhood home to the Balboa Administration Building, the Port, and what is today the most developed tourist area of the capital, Amador.

Day 5 – Panama City – International airport

(Breakfast) According to your flight schedule, depart back to the international airport
