This tour will include visits to: Rome – Napoli – Assisi – Pisa – Florence Venice – Verona – Milan – Como Lake – Lucerne.

Day 1: Departure to Rome!

Depart from Los Angeles (LAX) to Rome, the capital of Italy

Hotel: Holiday Inn or similar

Day 2: Rome

Rome is a city with unique blend of history, architecture and world famous monuments. Start our city tour in the afternoon with The Roma Forum, the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain. (D)

Day 3: Rome – Pompeii – Napoli – Rome

We drive south to Pompeii, where we have a guided walking tour of the excavations of the Roman town and its inhabitants, literally petrified by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 A.D. In the afternoon we proceed to Napoli, a lovely resort town in the south by the sea, visiting the city wall, Arch of Triumph and People’s Square. (B/D)

Day 4: Rome – Vatican – Assisi

Visit the famous St Peter’s Basilica, with the Pope Blessing Mass. Afternoon driver to Assisi, the “Pink City”, a UNESCO World Heritage Site where we have a walking tour at the Basilica of St. Francis. which was begun in 1228, built into the side of a hill and comprises two churches known as the Upper Church and the Lower Church, and a crypt where the remains of the saint are interred. Day 5: Assisi – Chianti – Pisa – Florence

We proceed to the famous Italian vineyard Chianti, enjoy some wine with cheese, dry aged meat and a variety of olive oil. Then we move on Pisa, See the incredible Leaning Tower and the amazing carved marble Cathedral and Baptistery in the Square of Miracles. Continue to the great Renaissance city of Florence (B/D)

Day 6: Florence

The Basilica di Santa Maria del Fiore and Signoria Squares are two of the major spots you must visit. Enjoy a panoramic view from Michelangelo Square with all Shops around for high quality leather goods and 18 Carat gold jewelry (B/D)

Day 7: Florence – Venice

Drive to Venice, the city being one of the world’s greatest and most beautiful cities of art. Upon arrival we shall proceed to St. Mark’s Square by Water Taxi. Bridge of Signs (Ponte dei Sospiri), Doge’s Palace (Palazzo Ducale) and the Church of St. Mark are some places you should not miss. Also visit the Basilica and witness a demonstration in a glass blowing factory. You may also ride on the famous Gondola on your own cost to cruise around the waterways if the weather situation permits! Enjoy a 4-courses Italian dinner with red wine in a romantic restaurant. Day 8: Venice – Verona – Milan

Day 9: Milan – Lugano – Lucerne

Visit Via Monte Napoleone, also the Milan Cathedral and Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II. Continue to Lucern via Alps scenic route with stop at Como Italian Lake. Time for you to shop for fine Swiss timepieces (B/D)

Day 10: Lucerne

This morning we drive into the heart of Switzerland ~ Lucerne tour shows you the poignant Lion Monument, which commemorates the heroism of the Swiss guards during the French Revolution, and the wooden Chapel Bridge. Free time to take an exhilarating Mountain Titlis excursion and or Lake Lucerne Cruise. (B/D)
